Do you take insurance? What about Medicare?
Arrow PT is an out of network provider, cash-based practice and we do not take any insurance. Payment is due at the time of service and discounted prepayment packages are available. We also accept HSA and we are an ESA (Empowerment Scholarship) approved vender. Upon request, we can provide you with a billing form that you can submit to your insurance company. If needed, I can refer you to physical therapists who do accept insurances.
Arrow PT cannot provide appointments to patients who have Medicare, even if you want to pay out of pocket. I can help you find a physical therapist who takes Medicare.
Why don’t you take insurance?
In order to ensure the best possible care, with reasonable pricing, Arrow Physical Therapy has decided to forgo the arrangement with most insurance companies so that we can treat patients without limitations on time, type of treatment, stipulations on visit frequency, length of plan of care and body parts treated. Your physical therapist can address your concerns without insurance company regulations and your therapist can afford to spend the entire visit one on one with you. This puts you in charge of your course of treatment, with the support of your therapist and ensures that you will get the results you are looking for in physical therapy. The therapist will work with you to create a treatment plan that works for you and your financial situation.
How do I make a payment?
You can make payments with cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, credit or debit cards, HSA cards and ESA (Empowerment Scholarship) funds.
What are appointments like?
All appointments will be in your chosen space. At your first appointment, we will talk about all your concerns, symptoms you are experiencing and your medical history. Your PT will give you options for the physical exam and you will choose how you want to proceed. A typical exam consists of a back and hip screen, pelvic alignment screen and palpation of abdomen. If appropriate, a pelvic exam may be performed, which can include visualization of the perineal/genital area, palpation of the area and internal examination. All parts of the exam will be explained and you will decide how much of the exam you are comfortable with. Afterwards your PT will give you the results of the physical exam and how pelvic floor physical therapy can help you.
Appointments for children with pelvic floor disorders, bed wetting, constipation and incontinence will include discussion with caregiver(s) and possibly with child if appropriate, about concerns, symptoms, and medical history. A physical exam usually includes posture, breathing patterns, strength testing, abdominal palpation and in some cases observation of pelvic floor muscle functions and coordination. Internal exams are not performed on children under 18 years of age. Exceptions can be made under special circumstances and if both the guardian and child consent.
For pelvic floor physical therapy, you will want to choose a private location that you feel comfortable in. Children who cannot be left to themselves are welcome to stay. Significant others or someone else you choose are also welcome if you would like support. In some cases, the PT will request a virtual consultation for your first visit to ensure you are a good candidate for pelvic floor physical therapy.
Do you only treat pelvic floor muscle dysfunction?
Arrow PT is able to treat any musculoskeletal issues, if you would like to address another body part in addition to or instead of pelvic floor muscles, that is absolutely an option.
